Autumn Sunlight Lights Up My Life Whilst Poppies Brighten The Shadows

The nature of the painting is further emphasised by the motif of the flowers in the hedge and also the date on which it was completed.

Challenge Answer:

The poppies are in the shadows of the hedge in the bottom left of the painting. The date is 100 years after the Armistice was signed at 11 o’clock on the 11th November 1918. Yet increased awareness of our own mortality intensifies our appreciation and experience of life.
